Cliffski is back with a sleek update to his 2006 Kudos game, this time with a whole lot more depth. Kudos 2 sees you take control of a young character from age twenty to thirty as they go through the trials and tribulations of life. It's up to you how your avatar lives their life with choices to be made on a daily basis as to whether they watch TV that day (and what channel), socialise or do other activities such as going to evening classes, playing music or taking kung-fu lessons. These choices will impact a variety of attributes ranging from mood and personality to relationships, money and career.

The game features a number of additional gameplay additions including the ability to purchase furniture for your house, an increased range of hobbies from bowling and skating to kung-fu and learning a language as well as a more granular level of gameplay with options such as choosing specific menu items at restaurants or even enrolling in career support courses for your job choice. Your performance at work now affects your work day and the way you interact with others bringing added pressure to each decision.

Kudos 2 is a fascinating take on the simulation genre that's a long way from being a simple 'The Sims' clone. Developed and published by Positech Games this game offers a unique twist on the genre with impressive levels of depth that are sure to keep you hooked.
